THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR…
EAST CENTRAL COPIAH COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI…
WESTERN SIMPSON COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI…

* UNTIL 1230 AM CDT

* AT 1140 PM CDT…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR MARTINSVILLE…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45
MPH.

HAZARD…TORNADO AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE…RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.

IMPACT…FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT
SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. DAMAGE
TO ROOFS…WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE DAMAGE IS
LIKELY.

* THIS DANGEROUS STORM WILL BE NEAR…
ROCKPORT AROUND 1155 PM CDT.
HOPEWELL AROUND MIDNIGHT CDT.
UNION AROUND 1205 AM CDT.
HARRISVILLE AND PINOLA AROUND 1210 AM CDT.

OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE GEORGETOWN.
