THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR…
NORTHERN WAYNE COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA…

* UNTIL 445 PM EDT

* AT 359 PM EDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED
5 MILES NORTHWEST OF GOLDSBORO…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
GOLDSBORO…FREMONT…PIKEVILLE…EUREKA AND NAHUNTA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

THIS TORNADO WARNING REPLACES THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING ISSUED
FOR THE SAME AREA. FUNNEL CLOUDS HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS STORM.

TAKE COVER NOW. MOVE TO A BASEMENT OR AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF IN A MOBILE HOME OR
OUTDOORS…MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND PROTECT
YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS.
