WESTERN COLBERT COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA…
NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA…

* UNTIL 400 PM CDT

* AT 308 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A
LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO NEAR SANDY SPRINGS…OR 11
MILES NORTH OF FULTON. DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THIS TORNADO MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
RUSSELLVILLE…RED BAY…CHEROKEE…MALONE…CROOKED OAK…SRYGLEY
CHURCH…DEMPSEY…RED ROCK…MT HESTER AND POGO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TO REPEAT…A LARGE…EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY
TORNADO IS ON THE GROUND. TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO PROTECT YOUR LIFE.
TAKE COVER NOW. MOVE TO A BASEMENT OR AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF IN A MOBILE HOME OR
OUTDOORS…MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND PROTECT
YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS.
