Friday Evening Weather Update #Findlay #OHwx #Ohio
SATELLITE CHECK: There is plenty of sunshine across the Findlay area and Hancock County this Friday evening. Temperatures are very comfortable as well. With temperatures currently in the upper 70s, along with dewpoint temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s, you can see why it is comfortable.
RADAR UPDATE: As a result of mainly clear skies, we have a clear radar scan as well across the area.
FRIDAY NIGHT FORECAST: Tonight’s weather forecast looks to be fantastic. One more time, you can go ahead and turn off the air conditioning. You can open your windows tonight and let in the fresh air. Skies for tonight look to be mainly clear. Temperatures will be falling back steadily after sunset. Overnight low temperatures are forecast to drop back into the lower and middle 50s.
THE WEEKEND: The start to the weekend is looking fantastic. Saturday will be featuring plenty of sunshine, along with seasonably warm temperatures. Forecast high temperatures Saturday should top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Dry weather will continue into Saturday night, with overnight low temperatures falling back into the middle and upper 50s.
Sunday will be offering the best chances for showers and thunderstorms across the area. A cold front will be making its move toward Findlay and all of Northwest Ohio. With temperatures warming into the lower and middle 80s for highs, along with a south wind, that will help bring an increase in the shower and thunderstorm potential.
While there will most likely not be any widespread severe weather expected, the chances exist for some of the thunderstorms to become strong to severe. If severe thunderstorms do indeed develop Sunday afternoon and evening, the main severe weather hazard looks to be from damaging straight-line winds. The cold front is forecast to move through the area during the overnight Sunday. By sunrise Monday, low temperatures are forecast to drop back into the upper 50s and lower 60s.
NEXT WEEK: Once the cold front passes through the area by Monday, we will be sailing towards what looks to be a fantastic weather week across the area. High pressure will be the dominant weather feature through nearly all of next week. As a result also, there will be plenty of sunshine during the daytime. Skies look to remain mainly clear at night as well.
By the middle of next week, the chance is there that a morning or two could feature temperatures falling back into the upper 40s right at sunrise. Overall, low temperatures look to be in the 50s, along with high temperatures mainly in the 70s to lower 80s by Friday of next week. There is a small chance for a shower or thunderstorm Friday as another low pressure area affects the region.
