Thunderstorm Chances for the Weekend
The afternoon satellite picture shows a blanket of fair weather cumulus clouds across the Findlay and Hancock County Area. Temperatures are very comfortable as well. Those temperatures currently are in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Weather radar this afternoon shows a clear scan across the area. Conditions will be remaining dry through the rest of the afternoon, and into tonight. Skies are forecast to remain partly cloudy. Low temperatures are forecast to fall back into the middle 50s by sunrise Friday.
GREAT WEATHER FRIDAY: Temperatures will continue to be on the rebound for Friday. Ample amounts of sunshine are in the forecast. The wind direction will switch to mainly south through the day. As a result, high temperatures Friday look to be five to ten degrees warmer than today. High temperatures are forecast to top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
For high school football games across the area Friday Night, the weather looks to be fantastic. Light winds, and partly cloudy skies are in the forecast. Temperatures at kickoff looks to be in the lower to middle 70s. By the time games are over, temperatures are forecast to be falling back through the 60s. By sunrise Saturday, low temperatures should bottom out in the upper 50s to lower 60s, also under partly cloudy skies.
THE WEEKEND: A return to Summer time weather is in the forecast for the weekend. It will once again be warm and humid throughout. Also, chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast from Saturday through Sunday Afternoon. While widespread severe thunderstorm activity is not expected, there could always be a couple of warnings that may need to be issued at times. It will not be raining all the time this weekend.
Temperatures will once again feel like Summer. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday are forecast to top out in the middle 80s. Humidity levels will be on the increase. Low temperatures Saturday and Sunday Night are forecast to only drop back into the middle 60s. This projected round of showers and thunderstorms are forecast to depart the Findlay and Hancock County Area Sunday Night.
NEXT WEEK: Drier weather will begin to move in for the first part of next week. However, there could still be an isolated shower or thunderstorm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Temperatures look to remain in the 80s through Thursday of next week for highs. Low temperatures currently appear to be mainly in the 60s through this particular forecast period.
