Say Hello to Fall!
SATELLITE PICTURE : This evening’s satellite picture showing an increase in the cloud cover across the area. Temperatures this evening are mainly in the middle 80s across the Findlay and Hancock County Area.
RADAR CHECK : Showers and thunderstorms are currently back to our west across much of western Indiana. Movement of that area of showers and thunderstorms is to the east. They are forecast to arrive in the Findlay area during the overnight hours. It will be plenty warm and humid tonight. Overnight low temperatures are forecast to drop back only into the middle and upper 60s.
RAINY WEDNESDAY : Temperatures are forecast to be at least ten to fifteen degrees cooler on Wednesday. However, that will be due to showers and thunderstorms crossing the area through much of the day. While widespread severe weather is not in the forecast, heavy rainfall, excessive lightning, and gusty winds are possible. Highs in the middle to upper 70s.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue into the evening hours on Wednesday. Those are forecast to clear the area during the late night. Mostly cloudy skies will remain for the balance of the night. Low temperatures in the middle to upper 50s.
HEADING FOR THE WEEKEND : A lowering trend in the temperatures is in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. The chance will still exist for a few scattered showers Thursday. Friday will be featuring clearing skies, and the wind direction will have more of a northerly component to it. High temperatures are forecast to top out in the middle to upper 70s. Low temperatures Thursday night are forecast to drop back into the upper 50s. Low temperatures Friday Night are forecast to drop back into the lower and middle 50s.
FOOTBALL FRIDAY : For the high school football games across the area Friday Night, temperatures are forecast to be in the middle 70s at kickoff (7 PM). By the 4th quarter (9 to 10 PM), temperatures are forecast to fall back through the 60s. Clearing skies are in the forecast.
REFRESHING WEEKEND : A much welcomed change in air masses is in the forecast for this upcoming weekend. While there will be plentiful sunshine both Saturday and Sunday, it will be chilly both nights as well. You can go ahead and turn off the Air Conditioning this upcoming weekend. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday are forecast to only climb into the upper 60s. Low temperatures Saturday and Sunday night are forecast to drop back into the middle and upper 40s.
EARLY PEEK AT NEXT WEEK : Temperatures are forecast to moderate early next week. Plenty of sunshine for Monday and Tuesday. Clear skies are in the forecast Monday and Tuesday Night. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday in the middle and upper 70s. Low temperatures are forecast to drop back into the upper 40s and middle 50s both nights.
