Cooler Weather Moving In
CURRENTLY : Plenty of sunshine currently this hour across the Findlay and Hancock County area. Temperatures currently are in the lower to middle 80s, along with the wind direction having a southerly component.
TONIGHT’S FORECAST : The majority of tonight will feature mostly clear skies. An increase in the cloud cover is forecast overnight tonight. That will be as a result of a cold front moving closer towards the local area. Also, there is the distinct possibility of a few showers just before Sunrise Friday. Low temperatures are forecast to drop back into the upper 50s and lower 60s.
STORMS FRIDAY : With the cold front impacting the region through the daytime on Friday, that will offer chances for showers and thunderstorms through the entire day. Outside of the rain and thunderstorms, skies are forecast to remain partly to mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Higher chances for showers and thunderstorms will enter the forecast Friday Night. Locally heavy rainfall is possible, along with excessive lightning, and gusty winds. Temperatures are not forecast to fall back that far. Low temperatures by Sunrise Saturday are forecast to only drop back into the middle 60s.
WEEKEND WEATHER : It will be a tale of two days, weather-wise. The daytime on Saturday will feature chances for more showers and thunderstorms as the cold front moves across the area. Some clearing of the sky is possible later in the afternoon. Mainly clear skies are in the forecast for Sunday and Sunday Night.
High temperatures Saturday in the middle to upper 70’s are forecast to occur fairly early in the day, prior to the passage of the cold front. Saturday and Sunday Night will feature both low temperatures down into the upper 40s and lower 50s. High temperatures Sunday are forecast to top out only in the middle to upper 60s.
NEXT WEEK : Quiet weather will be the main theme for next week. Ample amounts of sunshine are in the forecast Monday through Thursday. High temperatures mainly will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Low temperatures are forecast to drop back into the upper 40s and lower 50s.
LONG RANGE : The ensembles also do indicated the brief warm spell through Friday. Also, temperatures are forecast to turn seasonably cooler for next week as well. As we have pointed out, 90 degree days look likely to be fewer and far between now through the end of 2015.
