Soaker Next Couple of Days #NWOhioWx #Wx #OHwx
The current visible satellite picture indicating some filtered sunshine, with the wind being light and variable, unlike yesterday. Temperatures for the most part are in the lower to middle 50s. Cloud cover continues to be on the increase across the area as well.
Also, the rainfall that will be impacting Northwest Ohio in the coming hours is getting its act together down in portions of Illinois and Indiana. Rain is forecast to start falling in Northwest Ohio late tonight/early Thursday morning.
While the amounts differ on this morning’s runs of the GFS, Hi-Res NAM, and the NAM, the one basic idea is evident. Plenty of rainfall is on the way during the next couple of days. Amounts on average between two and three inches is a distinct possibility.
As a result of the forecasted amount of rainfall, flooding will naturally become a concern. Given the amount of rain that has fallen recently, the chances for flooding will be on the increase. The area with the most concern of flooding is forecast to be along the Blanchard River in the Findlay area.
We will continue to monitor this developing weather situation in the coming hours here on the Northwest Ohio Weather Blog. Stay tuned.
